Title: UI Designer
Location: San Francisco,
CA
Concept: Cloud based B2b
SaaS
Recent funding: $6 million
Employees to date: 25
Sitting
in the epicenter of the San Francisco tech scene is
a small, astoundingly fast growing and solidly
backed SaaS company that is helping people on the front
lines of customer service smile a little more
often. If you like making people smile then please
read on…
-
As part of this tight team,
you get the chance to solve significant,
game-changing problems and work on really
interesting projects.
-
And you’ll enjoy a bright,
hip environment with comprehensive benefits and
healthcare, generous option participation, the
chance to work with other cool and really
committed folks, use the biggest Apple monitors
around,
eat and drink free yummies, and work in the
center of the SanFran tech scene.
The
leadership is seasoned, having worked together to
build 2 previous success stories, lowering the risk
and improving the odds of this being a great equity
play. And they really do value people (and the dogs
they work alongside).
They are
looking for a highly-motivated UI designer to
contribute in shaping the user interface of their
SaaS product and strengthening their online presence
across web, tablet, and mobile devices. They drive
their product by the user experience, and need
someone with the skills who can keep up and push the
vision forward.
You will
work directly with the Creative Director and Product
Development team to build experiences that reinforce
the brand and help Wow customers. You will get to
work in an exciting and engaging agile startup
environment where you will be encouraged to expand
your skills, test your creative boundaries, share
new ideas, and most importantly – have fun.
In a
nutshell you’ll:
-
Design, iterate, and refine
UI and UX concepts for the company’s core
products
-
Elegantly bring designs to
life using standards-compliant dynamic HTML and
CSS
-
Work directly with the
Creative Director to insure we maintain a
high-quality user experience
-
Work directly with the VP of
Product to meet the demands of customers, while
at the same time continuing to innovate far
beyond the competition
-
Be a team player in a
flat-structured, highly collaborative
environment
What
you bring to the table:
-
You are a master of your
craft and tools. As a designer you are expected
to have a dominating control over Photoshop and
Illustrator, as well as create satisfying
interfaces boasting user-centered design
principles for our core applications. Bonus for
a dribbble or other online portfolio.
-
You get excited to work with
some of the coolest clients on the web on a
product that people love using. From 37signals
to Twitter, they're building software that real
companies are using and they need you to
contribute to their evolution. You must be
excited about your role! Anybody can build
something that’s “good”, but true passion breeds
“incredible”.
-
You like to deliver real
results. So, you’ve got some design and
prototyping chops but do you have the ability to
bring your work to life? This is very much a
startup environment and you’ll need to wear a
few different hats, this is also a great
opportunity to expand your skills. Bonus if
you’re also able to build those great
experiences with HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
-
This goes without saying, but
you must be able to communicate your ideas and
designs with the team. There is also a chance
you will have to receive feedback from clients.
For that reason alone, you must have excellent
written and oral communication skills.
-
Curiosity, creativity, and
ambition. Expensive diploma or not, true talent
isn’t always something that can be taught in
school. Ideally you would have done similar work
formally or informally; but maybe you’re gifted,
self taught or have been freelancing for years.
If you think you have what it takes let us
know. Bonus if you write or contribute to any
industry related blogs.
